BENEFIT SKINCARE - TRIPLE PERFORMING FACIAL EMULSION

31 January
I have always loved Benefit Cosmetics, they're such great quality products and I honestly don't have a negative word to say about them. I have previously purchased many of their make up products however I have never actually got round to trying their skincare! I had a sample from a magazine of their Triple Moisturising Facial Emulsion SPF 15 and after using it for roughly a week I could already see an improvement in my skin so I went ahead and bought it!

A lot of people suffer from dehydrated skin and aren't aware of it, it can leave their skin looking dull and tired. I have always gone for moisturisers that focus on dehydration but i've never had results as good as I have with this product! It is suitable for all skin types however it is also oil-free so I find it works really well with my combination skin. My skin has felt smoother since day one of using this and I honestly cannot recommend it enough!

This moisturiser has such good oil control, I have found that my face goes no where near as shiny as it has in the past throughout the day! My complexion is also a lot clearer and it's super light on the skin so it doesn't feel like it clogs the pores at all. Another thing I love about this product is that it keeps your skin protected with the SPF15.

Also how cute is the packaging? I absolutely LOVE it, it's so pretty. Not only does it look good on your skin it also looks good on your shelf! A small sample of The Porefessional Primer was included as well which made me super happy as this is my all time favourite Benefit Product. It retails at £22.50 but it's honestly worth every penny and I definitely think it is worth spending money on products that really benefit your skin! It is available here and here.

BROWS ARE SISTERS, NOT TWINS - MY BROW ROUTINE

29 January
Nowadays most people care more about how their eyebrows look than their entire outfit as perfect brows are the THING at the minute. I hate to admit to this but even i'm a girl who will notice someones eyebrows before anything else.

My eyebrows are no where near perfect I am well aware of this, however this post has actually been requested by quite a lot of people so here it is... My eyebrow routine!

Step 1: Threading
Thank god the days of over plucking are over. When I was in school I use to have very thin and far apart eyebrows and I honestly don't know what I was thinking! Now every 2-3 weeks I have my eyebrows threaded and this has had a huge impact on the appearance of my brows as they're much fuller and a much nicer shape. It is a little painful but you really benefit from it so it's worth it!

Step 2: Outline
My all time favourite brow product is the Sleek Brow Kit in Dark as you have the choice of a powder or cream. Firstly I take the cream product on the small angled brush which is included in the kit and use this to draw a rough outline of my desired shape.

Step 3: Fill Them In

Then I take the powder on the other small brush provided in the kit and just fill them them in as dark or as light as I want them to be. I then just take a disposable mascara wand to brush them through so there is no harsh lines left from the outline, you can use any eyebrow brush I just find a mascara wand works a lot better for me.

Step 4: Concealer

Finally you can take any concealer you like, I use the Benefit Erase Paste as it's slightly too light for my skin so it helps highlight around my eyebrows. I just take this on a small brush from Real Techniques to create a sharper outline and cover any hairs/blemishes around my eyebrows.

Finished Look:

I will then apply either a clear or tinted brow gel to keep them in place all day, at the minute my favourite is the L'oreal Brow Plumper. It can make them feel a little stiff however it is guaranteed to keep them in place!

LIPS
Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Dance With Me
This was the first time I have used a Mac Liquid Lip Colour and I was absolutely amazed! First of all look how gorgeous this red is, I've never owned any reds as stunning as this! They are super pigmented as you can see and this lip colour actually lasted a very long time on the lips - I mean through eating and drinking as well. It was a little stubborn when it came to removal but I can't complain as it barely budged all day! I was also really impressed with the applicator, it has a slight point so it makes it super easy to line the lips first which I absolutely loved! They are £21 but I honestly think they're worth every penny, you can get them here.

I COULDN'T RESIST

22 January
Aren't make up deliveries the best way to end a naff day?

After seeing a load of bloggers 2015 favourite products I went a little cray online shopping throughout this week and my bank has taken a slight beating, but I have finally got my hands on a bunch of products I have been wanted for AGES!! I haven't even had a chance to try any of these yet but I am so so so so excited about them, so here is an unboxing/first impressions/high end haul.

Let's jump straight into it;

I am so happy to finally say I am the proud owner of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit!! This kit is all over social media along with the powder version and if you haven't seen it before - where have you been? First of all the packaging is gorgeous, it's so simple yet looks so classy. Just from swatching this product I can already tell i'm going to get on with it so well, it is so creamy and just feels amazing quality. I obviously went for the Light shade as i'm pretty pale however it is also available in Fair, Medium and Deep. They retail at £39 but of course you get what you pay for! There are 3 highlighting shades Fair, Neutral and Banana, then there are 3 contouring/sculpting shades Java, Light Sculpt and Havana which I have swatched below.

I picked up the new Brow Definer from Anastasia Beverly Hills after seeing so many videos on how amazing this makes your brows! I picked up the shade Dark Brown but there are plenty of others available for all different hair/skin tones. It's double ended which I love! You get the definer one end and a brush on the other end which will be really handy for travelling. This one retails at £16 and you can pick one up here.

Next I picked up the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector x Jaclyn Hill in Champagne Pop which you can grab here, I have seen this on so many peoples favourites - for example KathleenLights, InTheFrow and Danielle Mansutti. After seeing it in the flesh on a friend I had to purchase it and trust me if you ever get to try it you will most likely buy it too! It's the perfect peachy/gold I honestly think this would look good on anyone.

I have been after a fan brush for MONTHS and I finally got the Zoeva 129 Luxe Fan Brush. It's super soft yet sturdy so this and the Becca highlight are going to be a match made in heaven!

Again these are also ALL over social media and are such amazing brushes! I have a couple from the Real Techniques Bold Metals collection already and I couldn't resist these two! They're so soft and I love their shape, it makes it super easy to hold and apply your products. They are actually quite heavy  but this actually makes them a lot easier to control, plus the colours are gorgeous.

Mac have brought out a new collection of liquid lipsticks, YES I REPEAT MAC HAVE LIQUID LIPSTICKS! Every single colour in this collection is stunning and from the swatches you can see how pigmented they are too! How gorgeous are these?! They are £21 each and you can grab them here.

Thank you Danielle Mansutti. I now smell INCREDIBLE. This perfume is absolutely gorgeous and I already know I will be repurchasing this. It is pretty sweet but smells delicious. Not to mention the packaging is the cutest!!! This is the Viktor & Rolf Bon Bon.

WINTER BODYCARE

17 January
Over the past few weeks England has been getting colder and skin has been getting dryer. If you're anything like me and your skin despises the cold weather then these few products will save your skin!

As the weather changes, your skin regime will too. I'm a sucker for a super hot bath but these are actually not great for your skin - especially in winter - as it can cause loss of moisture in the skin. Also the amount of water you drink has a huge effect on the quality of your skin too, so stay hydrated to keep your radiant glow all year round!

ON TO THE FUN STUFF - The Products:

1. HANDS
My first focus when it comes to winter is my hands! They come into contact with the cold air/rain/snow a lot more than the rest of your body so I always have a hand cream with me. There are so many gorgeous hand creams around at the minute but my all time favourite has to be Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream and i'm sure a lot of people would agree with me on this!! With Sesame Oil and Japanese Mulberry as it's key ingredients it is so soothing and comforting for dry/chapped hands. "The moisturizer forms an invisible protective “glove” that shields hands from the elements, keeping skin smooth and silky and minimising signs of ageing."

2. EXFOLIATE
This step shouldn't be carried out as often as the others however it is just as important! My favourite scrub for this step has to be the Soap & Glory - The Scrub Of Your Life, it has the perfect size beads for removing any dry skin without causing any irritation and leaves the skin super soft and shiny.

3. MOISTURISE
Well this stage is obvious but i'll be honest I used to be SO lazy when it comes to moisturising until I saw the benefits!! My all time 3 favourite moisturisers for dry skin are Aveeno Skin Relief, Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion and Body Shop Body Butter. The Aveeno is made of Shea Butter and all natural oats so it's completely fragrance free, this is great if your skin is MEGA dry. The Clarins Body Lotion - I use this all year round! It's the perfect consistency to keep your skin hydrated and moisturised, it contains Shea Butter along with many other soothing oils. The Body Shop Body Butters are also suitable for all year round as they are lighter on the skin and also smell amazing!! I'd say they're more for normal to dry skin and are an absolute dream.

2015 Favourite Product Discoveries

04 January
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I have been absolutely loving reading/watching everyone's 2015 favourite products posts/videos so I thought I would join in and show you guys the products I have discovered this year which have seriously impressed me!

Each of these products I absolutely LOVE and I am so happy I came across them! I would 100% recommend them to anyone and if you haven't tried them already, you NEED to.

I have done a full review on this palette previously which I will link here, you can find swatches and a full description of each shadow. I just love this palette so much I had to mention it in my 2015 products! The colours are stunning and it smells like vanilla, what more could you wish for?

This may seem like a strange product to purchase but honestly it does wonders for dark circles under concealer. I also found that this product doesn't crease and helps keep any concealer in place under the eye! An alternative you can try is applying a tiny amount of an orangey/red lipstick to the dark circles and blend before applying any other concealer.
I first discovered the Mac concealer when I had my makeup done in store for my birthday and everyone was complimenting on how I had no bags whatsoever which tipped me to buy it. It's raved about a lot on social media and it's honestly worth every penny!

This is one of Urban Decays bestsellers and I can definitely see why! This spray keeps your makeup on literally all night without budging. The whole 'hairspray your face to keep your makeup on' trick is extremely bad for your skin so if you're looking for a product which is guaranteed to keep your makeup on and not clog your pores this is perfect!

I have always been terrified of using a pigment as I was afraid I would waste my money and not be able to apply it properly but it's honestly so easy and I will certainly be investing in many more colours. The one in the photo is Melon and it is a GORGEOUS orange/gold shade. These pigments do come in a travel size which are usually located at the till points in stores that retail for around £10, so if you're not sure about purchasing theres always the smaller option to try!

What I love about these eyeshadow sticks is that they do not budge once they have set!! They give you just the right amount of time to blend and then they stick around all day. I have picked up a few more since first discovering them, the one in the photo is 05 and it's the one I have used the most! I went through a stage where I had this on my eyes every single day because you can have it as natural or as intense as you personally want it! So pretty!

This product was in my November favourites and I am still completely IN LOVE with it. It doesn't print on my brow bone at all and it really lengthens the lashes! A lot of bloggers go on about this mascara and how amazing it is - you should 100% listen to them.

Finally is Liquid Lipsticks!!!!!!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Pure Hollywood - $20 - unfortunately I was unable to find a link for the UK.

I cannot stress to you enough how much I LOVEEEEEEE these products! They're absolutely gorgeous! These are only very new products to my collection and I am desperate to buy more. Neither of them are drying, they're extremely long lasting and they beautiful colours! LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Hope you had a fabulous Christmas and New Year!
