MUA LUXE METALLIC LIQUID LIPS

29 September
Metallic lip products seem to be the new big thing and these 5 in particular are like nothing I have ever tried before. When I first saw them I was a little intimidated as they aren't the usual colours/finish I tend to go for but at £4 each you can't really go wrong. I haven't yet been brave enough to wear them out of the house so I'm not 100% sure how long they actually last on the lips but I can't imagine it's an extremely long time as they are quite glossy and do transfer a lot!

One thing I really like about these lip products is the packaging - they look so sleek and they're extremely light weight. The lid for these is actually really secure and the applicator is extremely easy to use! I find with MUA lip products they all have quite a heavily sweet smell which I quite like however these ones in particular have more of a chemically sweet smell which i'm not a huge fan of.

I think these lip products would look so cool for halloween and the party season which is coming around very quickly. I was actually very surprised with the pigmentation of these, some are more pigmented than others but over all for £4 I was really impressed! Originally Flare and Spark were my two favourite shades but Luster is slowly growing on me and it would look gorgeous over  another lipstick as it's a slightly more transparent silver gloss.

I have photographed swatches of these glosses in normal light and then with their reflections so you can see how metallic they really are out of the tube.

(Left to Right - Luster, Glint, Flare, Blaze, Spark)

I can't necessarily see myself wearing these on a daily basis however i'm glad I have them in my collection for the odd occasion when I do fancy dress makeup etc. If these are the sort of colours you can see yourself wearing then definitely give them ago because the pigmentation is actually a lot better than I thought and they only cost £4 each. I got mine from here or they are also available here.

I not long ago did a review on MUA's Luxe Velvet Lip Laquers which you can check out here.

What do you think of these Metallic Liquid Lips?

THE PERFECT DRESSING TABLE FLOWERS

17 September
I think the words 'Flower Delivery' are enough to make any girl smile and what better way to decorate your dressing table than with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Not only do they look gorgeous, their scent is enough to lift anyones mood and the fact you can have them delivered directly to your door is a dream.

Although with Blossoming gifts they're not just for your dressing table, you can have them delivered to your own home or a loved one whether it's a special occasion or simply a loving gesture. I was over the moon when I was contacted by the lovely Blossoming Gifts as I have seen many positive reviews on their bouquets and service and I must say they have not disappointed me!

Blossoming Gifts offer a wide range from flowers, to wines, to hampers and they will deliver to your door the very next day! If you want to send a more personal gift to someone you have the option of adding a personalised touch so they know it was meant just for them. They are incredibly easy to order - all you have to do is visit their website and select the bouquet of your choice. You will then have the option of adding a message in a gift card, make sure all the details for delivery you enter are correct and also the date you would like them delivered and viola, the rest is pretty straight forward.

I was lucky enough to choose my very own bouquet - Cheerful Lily & Rose - which are absolutely perfect for Autumn time. Lily's are one of my favourite flowers and when I saw this bouquet it was a must have. If you prefer something more pastel, brighter, bigger or smaller there are so many more to choose from on their website.

They were delivered in the cutest box which kept them well protected so when I received them they weren't damaged in any way at all. Once you open the box they are also packaged beautifully inside with a water soaked material to keep them alive until they reach your door. I have had my flowers for 5 days now and they are still going strong without a dead petal in sight and they still smell as gorgeous as when they arrived.

You can view all of their flowers, gift sets and everything else Blossoming Gifts has to offer by visiting their website.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

12 September
The Body Shop has seriously upped their face mask game with their 5 NEW Superfood Masks! I have always been a huge fan of their Seaweed Face Mask and when I saw they had a charcoal mask coming out had to get my hands on it. There are 5 different masks that have been released which target all skin types and problem areas:

  • Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask
  • Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask
  • British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask
  • Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask
  • Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask
They are all 100% Vegetarian, Paraben-free, Silicone-free, Mineral Oil/Paraffin-Free and they are all full of different natural ingredients to benefit your skin in the best way.

The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask has instantly become my favourite mask of all time after one use, the results were incredible! It's three key ingredients are Bamboo Charcoal from the Himalayan Foothills, Green Tea Leaves from Japan and Community Trade Tea Tree Oil from Kenya. These ensure the impurities and excess oils are drawn from the skin whilst keeping the skin looking clearer with a natural glow. After the detox has taken place and you are ready to remove the mask, the green tea leaves help to exfoliate the skin.

I absolutely love this mask - you can actually feel it working when it's on the skin. It does have quite a strong herbal scent to it so I wouldn't recommend putting it too close to the eyes or mouth area however with a few candles I found it extremely relaxing! You can use this mask however you like, perhaps multi-mask and apply it to your T-Zone and then a mask of your choice on the rest of your face but I actually used this all over my face. I applied it thinly using a cheapish foundation brush, then applied it a little thicker to the areas where my pores are the largest. It took around 13minutes to completely dry and I left it a further 2 minutes just so it would work it's magic a little longer!

At the minute there is a really cute colouring book FREE when you purchase any of their NEW masks which I have photographed above in case any of you are interested!

I wish I had taken a before and after photo for this mask because the results honestly shocked me as my pores were a LOT less visible after one use.

You can find all of these masks over on The Body Shop's website. ( I will include a link as soon as their website is back up and running)

Flawless Hourglass Face/ Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick Review

04 September
Hourglass Cosmetics are so luxurious I just had to try their NEW Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick after seeing so many positive reviews about it. It claims to be 'the coverage of a concealer, the fluidity of a liquid and the weightlessness of a powder. 12 hour long wearing and waterproof' - so as anyone would, I had extremely high expectations of this foundation stick and it has honestly exceeded them! Paired with Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer in Mood Light it gives the most photoshopped flawless finish but without the cakey feel/look to it.

The Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer in Mood Light is my holy grail primer as it has a gorgeous lavender tint to it so it is perfect for colour correcting the face and giving an all over natural glow. I have actually worn this primer alone with just a tiny amount of powder just to keep me matte and my skin instantly looked healthier! If you're interested in purchasing this product (which you 100% should be) you can get it here.

Hourglass packaging is always so sleek and sophisticated. I absolutely love the packaging for this foundation stick, the triangular shape allows you to get to the places you couldn't with a round one and gives such smooth application.

The foundation stick is quite pricey however it is completely worth it. When purchasing it I was convinced to buy the brush too in order to get the best results - however I don't feel you would need to buy the brush to get amazing results as it costs the same amount as the foundation.

This foundation blends the more you buff as the heat created melts the foundation so its seamless on the skin. It is a very high coverage foundation depending on how much you apply (I was recommended 2-3 lines per cheek/forehead) so I much prefer this for an evening makeup look rather than all day as I have quite oily skin so I found by the end it turned a little cakey in the oily areas.

Trust me when I say you need this combination in your makeup collection it is absolutely flawless, you can get the foundation stick here.
