SUMMER GLOW

16 June
As the most recent challenge circling social media is the 'full face of highlight' challenge - I thought what a perfect time it was to post my two favourite highlighting kits of all time. I recently turned 21 and I was incredibly lucky to have been given these two products by my closest friends and I cannot thank them enough, both of these highlighting palettes are simply gorgeous! They are the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette.

Let's start with a more subtle glow - Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. This palette is absolutely perfect for everyday use as all 3 shades are pretty, neutral and light powders. From left to right there is Dim Light, Incandescent Light and Radiant Light. You have probably seen a lot of bloggers post about this palette and I can totally understand why they all love it so much! The powders are extremely soft and just glide onto the cheek bones, blending perfectly. Let's just take a minute and appreciate how stunning the packaging is too!

Dim Light - This shade is the most neutral of the 3, it has a peachy/beige colour to it which helps to blur any imperfections and highlights the skin giving it a healthy glow.
Incandescent Light - Limited Edition to this palette, it is an extremely beautiful pearl powder highlight which brightens the high points of your face, leaving it with a stunning glow.
Radiant Light - This is the bronze tone of the 3, giving the skin a sun-kissed golden glow which helps to enhance the complexion.

Another thing I love about this palette is how versatile it is, there isn't a right or wrong way when using it. You can use Dim Light as a powder for the whole face or under the eyes as it blurs imperfections and the skin will appear more flawless, or you can simply build it up on your cheek bones as a highlight.

If you haven't seen the ABH Glow Kits - where have you been? They are made up of 4 completely different highlights so they're perfect for all skin tones. I have extremely light skin so Gleam is perfect for me however if you are slightly more tanned then there is another Glow Kit available in That Glow which I will link here or the most recent release called Sun Dipped, which as you can tell is for slightly deeper skin tones, I will link that here.

The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and very sturdy, I cannot wait to take this on holiday with me. All 4 highlighters are removable so it you wanted to take them individually in a smaller palette or however you prefer then you can!

All 4 highlighters are EXTREMELY pigmented and look stunning on the skin! I love the fact there is a pearl, blush and bronze shade so it has every highlighter a girl could need.

Below I have swatched all four colours and starting from the top you have:
Crushed Pearl - A gorgeous pink/silver pearl glow, this would look stunning on the inner corner of the eyes too.
Starburst - Slightly pinker colour than crushed pearl.
Mimosa - This is the bronze shade of the 4 and it has a gorgeous metallic finish.
Hard Candy - I love this shade, I'm not a huge blusher person however this highlighter makes it easy for me and you get two in one. It's a gorgeous golden peachy pink highlight.

I think it's safe to say my cheeks are going to be GLOWING this summer and I cannot wait!

World Famous Neutrals Palette

03 June
Benefit has been a brand I have adored since day 1 and they just continue to bring out more and more incredible products. I was given the 'World Famous Neutrals Eyeshadow Kit' a while ago as a gift and I instantly fell in love with it, however it became one of those palettes that slowly gets pushed to the back of the drawer and forgotten about. I am so over the moon I found this a few weeks ago and haven't stopped using it since - it really is the perfect neutrals palette! Even though there are only 6 shades, there are SO many looks you can create with it and it's the perfect size for travelling.

Let's start with the packaging - it's super pretty and compact! This palette is in the shape of a small hardback book so it stands perfectly on display. It seals by a strong magnet which will not budge unless you force it so there's no way it could open in your bag. Another thing I love about this palette is the fact that it has a good sized built in mirror which is hidden by two pages of benefits tips&tricks on how to use the product. Isn't it the cutest?!

(Bottom Left - Top Right; My Two Cents, Birthday Suit, Call My Buff, It's Complicated, Gilt-y Pleasure, Kiss Me I'm Tipsy)

Each of these colours are super pigmented and stunning on the eye! There are two cream shadows and 4 powder shadows - the only downside is they are all shimmers, I really wish at least one shade was matte. Overall I would 100% recommend this product as they really are the 'most glamorous nudes ever'!

Here is a look I created with this palette, it is really easy and you can either deepen or lighten the look using the shadows of your choice;

My Two Cents all over eyelid as a base
Gilt-y Pleasure as crease colour/outer half of eyelid
Call My Buff on inner eye lid.

This eyeshadow palette is available here and here.
